Employee suspended for attacking devotees in Guruvayur

THRISSUR: The devaswom administration panel suspended one Radhakrishnan,  a security employee of the temple, for attacking a woman and her son, who came to pray in the temple. An investigation will be conducted on the issue. The panel meeting Friday also decided to seek an explanation from devaswom assistant manager Sunil Kumar.  

Devaswom board chairman Chandramohan termed it as a serious lapse on the exposure of the CCTV clippings. The meeting decided to suspend the supervisor for it. He said it is not right to condemn the temple employees on the incident.  

The security officials assaulted a man when he questioned the act of the  employees trying to remove his mother when she was praying in the temple on February 23. As a complaint was not lodged, nobody knew it. The incident came to light when the clippings of the clash between a panel member and a temple employee was examined.
