Five arrested over Malayalis’ murder in Kuwait

KUWAIT:  In the case related to the “murder” of two Malayali security guards in Kuwait, five persons have been arrested. Among the arrested, two are Saudi citizens and one is a Jordan citizen. Police is questioning the arrested.

The accused were arrested in a search conducted in Sulaibi based on a tip-off.
When confronted by the police, they retaliated by firing at them. Following this, a larger police force was called in to overpower the accused.

It was on April 26 that Sayid Muhammed Rasheed, 25, from Malappuram and Sharngdharan, 45, from Kozhikode were shot dead. 13000 Kuwaiti dinar (Rs 25.74 lakh) were also stolen from them.
