ARYANAD: A person slipped off the staircase from the second storey of his house and fell to death when he was going out to perform vavu bali on Friday. The dead was Ramesh (47) of Kovilvila house.
The incident happened in the wee hours at around 3 am. Ramesh who was sleeping in second floor of his house fell down when he climbed down the staircase which had no railings.
Though he was soon taken to the Medical College, he was declared brought dead.
The body was cremated after post-mortem.
Ramesh ws a carpenter and he is survived wife Sahlini and wards Gokul and Rudra
