Rumours over ward division shows League in bad light: KPA Majeed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Muslim League General Secretary K P A Majeed has said that certain persons and newspapers are trying to spread the rumour that the panchayat ward division is being done in the sole interest of Muslim League.

“If the court order regarding local polls is against the government, we shall reveal everything to the public in this regard,” he told media persons.

Some are spreading the rumours that the League is snatching away all benefits from the government. The League is an ally of the UDF and it has the right to speak out as others in the Front do. After the court order is out, the party will give its reply to the criticism that panchayat ward division is done according to the sole wish of the League

“The Muslim League has not boycotted the signing function of Vizhinjam port construction. Party ministers and other MLAs did not take part in the function as a very important function of the party was going on at that time. The League is not opposed to the contract and the chief minister had invited us to the function,” Majeed added
