KOCHI:South Indian actress Muktha got married to Rinku Tomy, brother of singer Rimi Tomy at St George Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church in Edappally, Kochi on Sunday. The bride wore chatta and mundu, the traditional dress of the Christians. Rinku wore a mundu and a white shirt. Margamkali, traditional dance form of Christians was highlighted.
The real name of Muktha, daughter of George and Sali of Kothamangalam, is Muktha Elsa George. She reached the film industry through television shows and Kalotsava venues. Her name in Tamil is Bhanu.
Muktha, who began her career in Lal Jose's Achanurangatha Veedu has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. She has acted in Chirakodinja Kinavukal, U to Brutus, Goal, Nasrani, Hailasa, Kanchipurathe Kalyanam etc. She will continue acting after marriage.
Rinku, son of Rani, is managing an event management group in Kochi. He is a native of Pala. He manages his sister Rimi Tomy’s shows.
