CPM, BJP activists killed in Kasargod and Thrissur

KOZHIKODE/THRISSUR: After an interval political murders have been witnessed in the state again. A CPM activist and a BJP activist have been killed in Kasargod and Thrissur. The CPM and the BJP are observing a hartal in Kozhikode and at Kodakara panchayat in Thrissur in protest against the attacks.  

The two attacks happened on the Thiruvonam day. C Narayanan, a CPM activist of Kodombeloor in Kasargood was stabbed to death. His brother Aravindan had been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore with serious injuries. The incident happened at 3 pm yesterday. A team who came in bikes stabbed him to death. Aravindan was hacked when he came to save his brother. Narayanan died on the spot itself. BJP is behind the attack, alleged the CPM.

Abhilash (31) of Vellikkulangara in Thrissur was hacked. The incident happened Friday afternoon when he was pillion riding on his friend’s bike. His friend has been admitted in the hospital with injuries. A clash was witnessed between the CPM and the BJP in this area earlier.
