KOZHIKODE: Three persons were killed when two cars collided with a tempo traveller at Azhinjilam on the national highway in the district. The passengers in the car identified as Manjunath, Tilak Nath and Anil Choudhari, natives of Karnataka were those killed in the accident. Two persons who sustained serious injuries have been admitted at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. 17 passengers of the tempo traveller too sustained injuries.
The incident happened early Saturday morning at 3 am on the turning in Azhinjilam. The team who came to visit the temples of Kerala were those involved in the accident. The car has been completely damaged in the collision. The passengers of the car were taken out jointly by the locals and the police. Transportation came to a standstill for some time on the national highway following the accident.
