THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that it was a joint decision of the Cabinet ministers to transfer DGP Jacob Thomas from Fire force chief’s post. “I owe the responsibility for that. Neither Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala nor Minister Manjalamkuzhi Ali had any hand in that,” the chief minister said.
Chandy said there were many complaints raised against Jacob Thomas including denying permission to multi-storey buildings for the mere excuse that they don’t have skylift. Many of his dealings had put the government in the dock.
