Seven die in separate accidents


 
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following separate incidents of vehicle accidents, seven injured persons were admitted to Medical College Hospital on Friday.

 The accidents happened yesterday night and today morning at Jagathy, on National Highway at Kallambalam and near Chackai.
In the Jagathy accident that happened at around 9:30 pm, a bike and a car collided, injuring Balaramapuram native Ansar (24) and Vellayani native Sreejith. The bike which Ansar was riding had a head-on collision with the car. The pillion rider Sreejith, who had taken ‘lift’ on the bike, also sustained severe injuries.  

On the national highway near Kallambalam, three Mayyanad natives were injured  in the accident that happened at 12:30 pm. They are Vishnu (24), Niyaz (24) and Girilal (21) and all the three have been admitted to the Medical College hospital.  

In the accident near Chackai along Kazhakoottam-Kovalam bypass that happened today morning, two bike travellers were injured. The injured Rupesh (21) and Darshan Kumar (25) have been admitted to Medical College Hospital.
