THRISSUR: KPCC general secretary Padmaja Venugopal said on Monday that she will be in the fray if her party asks her to contest the polls to local self-governing bodies.
I am not against contesting for the Kochi Corporation councillor post or other assembly seats. She said this while reacting to reports that the party leadership is considering her to become the candidate for the Kochi Mayor post. I will contest for the corporation councillor post if the party asks me. So far, I have not received any directive to contest for the corporation polls, she said.
