THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Youth Congress MLA V T Balram has come out with an instant Facebook post on beef against the backdrop of raging controversy over Kerala House police raid. In his new Fb post, he says one needs freedom to eat beef. “An Indian should have the freedom to eat not only buffalo meat but also cow meat (beef). Those who don’t want beef need not eat it, that’s all” he says.
“If killing of cows is banned in other states on the basis of certain beliefs other than an old-time agro-economic notion that cow population would decrease if beef consumption increases, that ban should be revoked immediately,” he adds.
