THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet has accepted Lottery department’s recommendation to extend the treatment facility using Karunya Benevolent fund to the hospitals in other states also.
The scheme will be implemented in Vellore, Mangalapuram and Coimbatore. The charges decided by the government for the hospitals in the State will be applicable to other states also. The patients will have to bear the balance cost of the expense.
With the implementation of the scheme patients in the Kasargod and Palakkad districts are expected to get better medical relief.
