WAYANAD: CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan’s hostility towards the BJP and RSS is part of opportunism, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Talking to reporters here, he said the CPM had a tie-up with the Jana Sangh in 1977.
The congress never had an alliance either with the RSS or with the BJP. The people of the state knows the alliance made between the CPM and the BJP in 1977. Pinarayi is levelling allegations against the congress in order to cover that, he said. The chief minister welcomed CPM’s stand that the Muslim League is not a communal party.
