Bar case: AG advises govt against going for appeal

KOCHI: Office of the Advocate General has advised the government against going for appeal in the Bar bribery case.

The move follows the Vigilance court's scathing remarks against Finance Minister K M Mani in its Thursday order.

Vigilance department will later move court to remove the remark against Mani. The Vigilance has also been asked to file Criminal Miscellaneous petition.

Chief minister Oommen Chandy had met Advocate General K P Dandapani at the Aluva Palace today morning 8 o' clock. In the discussion held, the AG advised the chief minister not to go for appeal against yesterday's court order.
