Chandrabose murder: Police protection for witnesses if required, says Chennithala

THRISSUR: If required, police protection would be given to the witnesses in the murder case of Chandrabose, a security guard of Sobha City, said Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. First witness turning hostile in the case is seen seriously, he said. Talking to reporters here, he said necessary steps will be taken after examining it.

Chennithala said maximum punishment should be awarded to Nisham, accused in the murder case. The government do not have a soft approach on it. DGP Jacob Thomas was given a top post after I became the home minister. His transfer is quite natural. The officials are supposed to implement the decisions of the government and if it is not done, taking action is an ordinary incident, he said.

He condemned the police raid at the Kerala House. Permission should have been
sought before conducting a raid at the Kerala Government owned institution. The government’s discontent will be informed to Delhi Lt Governor, he said.
