Who will lead Cong in Assembly election is yet to be decided: Sudheeran

THRISSUR:  KPCC president V M Sudheeran has said that no decision has been taken on who would lead the Congress party in the next Assembly election. “Now all weightage is given to the local body election.” He was speaking at an election programme organised by Thrissur Press Club.

Earlier, Sudheeran had said that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy would lead the Congress party.

“There is no need for a discussion now on who would lead the party. The matter is not relevant now. The Third Front failed even from the beginning and their dream to reap political mileage from the polls will remain an unfulfilled dream. Party rebels who will contest in the local body election will be ousted from the party. They will not be taken back… Unbiased action will be taken against the rebels,” Sudheeran said.
