Chittilappilly begins hunger strike

KOCHI: Leading industrialist and stray dog-free Movement Chairman Kochouseph Chittilappilly began a 24-hour hunger strike here at Marine Drive demanding a solution for stray dog menace in the state and in protest against the police action against those who kill stray dogs.

In his address, Kochouseph warned that if the government failed to protect the people, people will have to take law into their hands.

"The actions of some administrators and organisations look like they don't value human life," he said adding that the activism of Union Minister Maneka Gandhi were doubtful.

People from all walks of life visited Kochouseph and expressed their solidarity to his movement against the stray dog menace.
