Kerala Blasters begins campaign with 3-1 victory against North East

KCOHI: Kerala blasters made a dashing start of their Indian Super League second season with a big 3-1 win against North East at Nehru Stadium here.

The first goal was hit by Josue in the 49th minute. This was followed by Rafi’s goal in the 68th minute and Sanchez Watt’s goal in the 72nd minute. But in the 82nd minute Nicholas Wells gave a minor shock to blasters by returning a goal. 

But as the time was over, Kerala blasters remained victorious.

As Kerala team had lost to North East in earlier matches, the victory was a sweet revenge, as well. The team also was in high spirits as their successful performance came in the presence of team owner Sachin Tendulkar.
