THRISSUR: Two persons were killed when a car and a tanker lorry collided near Kamala Nehru School at Thrithalloor in Vadanappally.
The dead has been identified as Muhammed (59) and Surendran alias Sundaran (62), both from Kozhikode. The incident happened Tuesday morning at 7.20 am. When Muhammed died at Thrissur West Fort Hospital, Surendran lost his life at Ashwini Hospital. Suresh (59) and Muhammed Rafi are undergoing treatment at Ashwini and West Fort Hospitals. The condition of Suresh is stated to be serious.
The car proceeding to Ernakulam from Kozhikode collided with the tanker carrying gas cylinders when it tried to overtake another vehicle.
