Kummanam made BJP president to trigger communal polarisation: Kodiyeri

KOZHIKODE: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has alleged that elevating Kummanam Rajasekharan as BJP State president was part of the BJP agenda to create communal polarisation.

“There is some mysterious aim behind making a person who doesn’t even have BJP’s primary membership its president. The BJP has implemented RSS’ decision,” he said.

“Following Ramesh Chennithala’s letter controversy, the Congress party members have segregated into two groups. This means the Congress has split. Ramesh Chennithala himself has said that the government’s image got spoilt. Even after all this, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is clinging on to the power,” Kodiyeri said.

Kodiyeri also demanded that Kerala Women’s Commission urgently interfere in the issue related to Calicut University girl students and the commission visit the university to ensure the girls’ safety.
