THALASSERY: Foreign currency worth Rs 25 lakh was seized in Thalassery. Ahamed Ilyas (29) of Kasargod was taken into custody at the Thalassery railway station in connection with the incident. He was taken into custody by sub inspector Anil Kumar on secret information while boarding a train to Kasargod from Thalassery.
Dollars, dirhams and euros were seized from him. It is not known from where he got it and for whom it was smuggled. The police are investigating where he has any connection with terrorist organizations.
