NEW DELHI: The central election commission Monday hinted that assembly polls in Kerala would be held before May 24. All steps for the smooth conduct of the polls has started, clarified the commission. Apart from Kerala, the polls would also be held in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The chief election commissioner will visit the states before announcing the dates for the polls. Talks would be held with the state election commissioners. The tenure of Kerala Assembly will end on April 13.
