Air India insults Kerala Governor, complaint lodged

KOCHI: Air India disallowed Kerala Governor P Sathasivam to board the flight last night at the Nedumbassery Airport The pilot shut the door saying the time for passengers to board the flight was over. The office of the governor has lodged a complaint to the Air India and aviation ministry.

The pilot of Air India AI 046 flight from Delhi scheduled to proceed to Thiruvananthapuram at 9.50 pm, did not allow the governor to board the flight. The flight reached late at the Nedumbassery Airport. The governor reached the airport at 10.40 pm as it was informed that the flight will depart at 10.45 pm.

After attending some official programmes in Thrissur and Kochi, the governor reached the airport to catch the flight to the capital city. The pilot directed to shut the door as the time was over. After waiting a long time, the governor left. They were informed earlier that the governor would be boarding the flight.

A room was arranged for the governor at the Ernakulam Guest House by 12.30 pm. The complaint has demanded strict action against those responsible.  However, the airport authorities explained that the flight left before the governor reached.
