Woman succumbs to injuries
KOLLAM: A 47-year-old woman, who was seriously injured while trying to board a moving train from the station, died here Sunday.
The woman's left arm and leg got severed after she fell on the tracks.
Police said the Mangalore-bound Parasuram Express had just started moving when the woman, Maherben (47), and two other relatives tried to board it. She slipped and fell on the tracks.
The woman was first taken to a district hospital here and later shifted to the KIMS hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
She was on her way to Kochi in connection with her daughter's admission to an engineering institute.
