THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan intervenes in the verbal spat between M Swaraj and the CPI. In his Facebook post, he said the CPM and the CPI are working unitedly and the result for this unity was witnessed in the recent assembly polls.
The situation at present is to work more unitedly. Some centres are trying to create a rift between the two. Everyone will understand why this is for. If there are any differences of opinion between the two, there is a situation to sort it out. There is no need to air it openly.
Opportunistic stand is not beneficial for the growth of the Left Front and it is understood from the incident which happened after the split of the communist party in 1964. The CPI now accepts the stand supporting emergency at that time was not right. There are no issues between the party in the all India and state levels. An attempt by vested interests are trying to create rift between the two. However, the CPM is not willing for it, he said.
