THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet has taken a decision raising the limit for bonus of government employees. Those having salary upto Rs 21,000 will get bonus. Earlier, bonus was given to employees having salary till Rs 18,000.
Meantime, limit for the bonus amount and festival allowance have not been increased. Current bonus is Rs 3500.
The cabinet decided to increase the festival allowance of anganwadi workers from Rs 1000 to 1100. The cabinet also decided to create new posts in health and social welfare departments.
The cabinet decided to appoint 44 government senior pleaders.
