Bar owners took money to change statements in bar case

KOTTAYAM: Bar owners’ took money and benefits to change statements in the bar case, alleged controversial industrialist V M Radhakrishnan. The money collected in the name of legal fund was handed over as bribe. Radhakrishnan gave this statement on the complaint regarding the irregularities in the bar hotel association which is before the Kottayam district registrar.

An amount of Rs 250,000 each was collected from the hands of each bar owner. The association later decided to give this amount to politicians to get the bar license. Apart from misusing the collected money, some from the association accepted the benefits also. A report after auditing the accounts of the association was not given, he said.
