KOCHI: In the case of admission to self-financing medical colleges, the government was in for a major setback today. The high court stayed the government step taking over all seats including the management seats. The stay comes with the condition that MBBS-Dental admission should be based on NEET ranking and managements can start accepting applications.
The court also observed that the government order was against the Supreme Court verdict.
Managements can invite application online. The application should be submitted to James Committee. The managements should also put up the prospects and rank-lists on their websites. They should complete the procedures within three days. The James Committee should ensure that capitation fee is not received.
Private Management representatives said that they welcomed the verdict.
