Food Security law to be implemented within six months

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet today decided to implement Food Security law within six months. In the meeting it was also decided to apprise the Centre of the State’s decision. Distribution of ration card will be completed on war footing and it is expected to complete within the next five months. 

Meanwhile, Local Administration Minister Jaleel said woman who died in Pulluvila allegedly due to dog bite would be given Rs Five lakh as compensation. Rs 50,000 will also be given to Daisy, another woman who was bitten by dogs at the same place. He added that though there were legal issues, dogs would be sterilised in time-bound manner.
