THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Vilgilance report has revealed that there have been irregularities in the recruitment of Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan’s son V A Arun Kumar as IHRD chief.
Arun did not have the required experience for the post and to cover up this, he had submitted some fake certificates, the report said.
It was during the period of previous LDF government that Arun Kumar was appointed as IHRD chief. Promoting him to additional director was against service norms . IHRD had just a single post of additional director but three posts were created to help Arun Kumar. To facilitate his elevation he was also posted as a college principal in Kattappana , the report alleged.
The vigilance department has recommended for filing a case against Arun Kumar.
