THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala government has called an all-party meeting on Monday to discuss steps to be taken in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict on Mullaperiyar dam.
The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the chief minister here. The government has also informed Opposition leader V S Achuthanadan about the timing of the all-party meeting.
The meeting will discuss matters like filing review petition against the apex court verdict. Achuthanandan had already demanded an all-party meeting and Assembly meeting to discuss the Mullaperiyar issue.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court had given the nod to raise the dam level to 142 feet. It had also struck down the Kerala Irrigation Water Conservation Act for protection of dams.
