THALASSERY: The CBI has revealed that RSS worker Thalassery Elamthothil Manoj was hacked to death with the full knowledge of the CPM. In the charge sheet filed in the Thalassery Sessions court on Saturday, the CBI has said that the conspiracy behind the murder will have to be investigated and the probe is going on in this regard.
The Crime Branch had made 19 persons accused in the case and the CBI had arrested all of them.
Manoj who was RSS Kannur district Shareerik Shishak Pramukh was hacked to death in September 2014. The case was first investigated by Crime Branch but it was later hander over to CBI following instructions from top police officials.
The CBI has recorded the statements of 230 witnesses, as of now. It has also taken into custody weapons used for murder, the vehicle used by Manoj at the time of murder and the bikes on which the accused reached the crime spot.
The case is being investigated by a team headed by DySP Hari Om Prakash from the Thiruvananthapuram unit.
