KOCHI: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that there would not be any inquiry against DGP K S Balasubramaniam in connection with Chandrabose murder case. The government has full trust in the DGP.
In reply to media persons’ question, Chandy said there was no solid evidence against the DGP in the CD given to him by government Chief Whip P C George.
The present DGP is an officer who had proved his mettle. Taking a dig at George, Chandy said that when the media is at their disposal, some people are trying to create controversies with its help.
“Finance Minister K M Mani himself will present the budget. The Opposition stand that they will not allow Mani to present the budget is a challenge to democracy. The Opposition will have to pay a heavy price for the agitations they are planning against the government,” said Chandy, adding that the government had ordered a Vigilance inquiry into bar bribery scam after the Opposition demanded for the same.
