Man dies in accident

KOLENCHERY: One person was killed when the bike in which he was pillion riding rammed a goods van on the Pattimattom-Moovattupuzha Road at 11.30 pm last night. The person who was riding the bike sustained serious injuries. The dead has been identified as Santhosh (37), son of Parameswaran of Pattimattom. Seriously injured Jibin (24), who was riding the bike, has been admitted at the Kolencherry Medical College.

The incident happened when the bike while trying to overtake a car proceeding on the same direction was hit by a van from the opposite direction. The motorists were going to see the falling of fireballs reported in the Valamboor sector.  

Santhosh leaves behind his mother Karthiyani and brother Suresh.
