MALAYINKEEZHU: LDF candidates have won the bypolls held in Kilikkottukkonam and Maranallur Town Wards of Maranallur panchayat. Biju and T Jayakyumar of the CPM won by 57 and 154 votes respectively in Kilikkottukkonam and Maranallur.
When BJP secured the second position, the congress was pushed to the third position.
The bypolls were held in the two wards after Left front members were disqualified.
