SBI to open 60 branches in kerala

Friday, July 01, 2011: SIB Managing Director and CEO VA Joseph on Friday said that the South Indian Bank (SIB) will open 60 branches in Kerala in this financial year and eight of them will be in Kannur district.
Speaking during inauguration of 16th Regional office of SIB here, he said SIB was targeting a business of one lakh crore in 2014 from existing 50,000 lakh and to achieve this 800 new branches would be opened.
SIB Chairman Amitabha Guha, in his presidential address, said the opening of regional office at Kannur would help perform banking function fast.
