Wednesday, July 06, 2011: The State government today informed that Tomin J Thachankary, who is currently under suspension for violating service rules by going abroad without consent from the government, will be reinstated in service.Speaking to the reporters here at the cabinet briefing, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy informed that Thachankary will be reinstated soon after the completion of suspension term on July 10.
Thachankary ran into trouble after the Indian Ambassador in Qatar complained of the foreign trip made by him. The Ambassador gave a formal complaint to the union Home ministry accusing Thachankary of having talks with terror groups while staying in Qatar.

തച്ചങ്കരിയെ തിരിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നതിൽ പ്രത്യേക സവിശേഷതകളൊന്നും ഇല്ല പ്രശാന്തേ. ഏതൊരു മുന്നണിയും മാറി വരുമ്പോൾ എടുക്കുന്ന നയങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമാണിതും. LDF അധികാരത്തിൽ വരുമ്പോൾ തടവുകാർക്ക് ഇളവുകളും, കുറച്ചുപേർക്ക് മോചനവും ശുപാർശ ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട്. മാത്രമല്ല, ഏത് മുന്നണി വന്നാലും അക്കാഡമി, കോർപ്പറേഷൻ, കോടതി, കമ്മീഷൻ, പോലീസ് എന്നിവയുടെ തലപ്പത്തും ഉള്ളിലും ഒക്കെ പുനർ വിന്യാസം നടത്താറുണ്ട്. ഇത് നിയമം മൂലം നിർത്തലാക്കണമെന്നാണ് എന്റെ പക്ഷം. ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ തച്ചങ്കരിയല്ല സാക്ഷാൽ വീരപ്പനുവരെ ഇതിന്റെ പ്രയോജനം കിട്ടും. അതു കൊണ്ടാണ് മിക്കവരും മാറി മാറി ഒരോ മുന്നണിയെ സേവപിടിച്ച് ജീവിക്കുന്നത്.
