THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan has said that incidents following the beef festival in Thrissur Kerala Varma College expose Sangh Parivar’s agenda to communalise Kerala like in the case of North India.
Expressing the above opinion on his Facebook page, he said it is not the discretion of the communal groups to decide on which food people should eat.
“A secular society will not tolerate the arrogance that those opposing communalism will be destroyed. The voice of the teacher who says that people who keep non-vegetarian food off colleges will keep women and lower class people also out one day, is not isolated. There should be a movement to thwart any attempt to make Kerala a hub of communal forces,” he says.
