THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A day after he apologized for his allegedly sexist remarks against women, Left fellow traveler Cherian Philip has come to the fore with a piece of advice to T N Seema, a Rajya Sabha member of the Left Front.
Through a fresh Facebook post, Cherian has asked Seema to stage a hunger fast in Delhi in order to awaken the conscience of the masses in the wake of the recent incidents of sexual violence.
The post says shocking incidents like gang rape of minors are being witnessed in India. Women are harassed even in broad daylights and such incidents are happening on a day to day basis. The law and order has deteriorated in Delhi. All women organizations and mass movements should respond strongly. It would be better if Seema stages a hunger fast in order to awaken the conscience of the masses.
Seema had earlier asked Cherian to tender an apology for his anti-women statement.
