KOTTAYAM/KOZHIKODE: A clash broke out at the CMS College in Kottayam and S N College in Vatakara when activists led by the SFI tried to conduct beef fest. The clash broke out after ABVP activists came with a protest.
The situation turned worse when the SFI activists tried to distribute beef at the CMS College in the afternoon. Though permission was sought, the principal did notgrant them. Following that, the activists decided to conduct the beef fest without the permission of the principal. The clash broke out when ABVP activists tried to stop the act. The principal said he was manhandled by the activists when he tried to stop the beef fest.
There was a clash at the Vatakara S N College also between the activists of the SFI and ABVP. A verbal dispute broke out when the ABVP activists tried to disrupt the move to conduct the beef fest. The situation was later calmed with the intervention of the police.
