THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan on Sunday dismissed criticism against him over an interview he had given to Janasakthi Dwaivarika. “What is spreading through news now are totally baseless facts,” he said.
V S had said in the interview that some people in the party had recommended against giving him seat in the 2006 election and tried to create a wrong impression about him among the leaders in Central leadership.
“Certain media had published news in the name of my interview with the bi-weekly. These reports are deliberately aimed at tainting the image of the CPM and humiliating me. People should reject these false rumours with hatred. This futile attempt is to create the impression that I am at loggerheads with the Central leadership,” he said.
