VS interview will be examined: Kodiyeri

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that the contents of the interview Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan had given to Janasakthi magazine will be examined.

In an interview given to a local channel, Kodiyeri said that Janasakthi is an anti-party publication.

VS’ allegation was that certain people in the party had prevailed upon the Central leadership not to give him seats in the 2006 election and to malign his reputation in the party.

“Janashakthi is a seasonal publication. We have not seen its new edition. We don’t know what VS had said. We shall respond after closely examining his statements,” Kodiyeri said.

“Politburo member M A Baby had earlier given an interview. The party had examined that and Baby given explanation about it. While giving the interview, he had adhered to party principles. In that interview nothing against the party was found,” he said.
