UDF united, Aruvikkara will repeat, says Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The UDF will jointly face the local body polls and will accomplish a big victory, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC chief V M Sudheeran. The leaders said this poll would be a fight against communal and political fascisms. The two were talking after talks held at the KPCC headquarters. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala too attended the meeting.

The victory witnessed in Aruvikkara bypolls would be repeated in the upcoming polls to local self-governing bodies. The polls are being faced with full confidence, he said.

The Congress and the UDF are fully prepared for the polls. Seat disputes will be solved soon and steps for it have been taken, said Chandy.

The UDF will move forward unitedly, said Sudheeran. A political environment favourable for the UDF exists, said Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala. The communal agenda of the BJP will not be implemented here, he said.
