THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National School Games will be held in Kerala, it is almost confirmed. The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday decided to inform the National School Games Federation about Kerala's willingness to turn it the venue for the games. The announcement regarding the venue is likely to happen soon.
Though the Central Sports Ministry had decided to hold the event in Goa, the state withdrew and the lot fell on Kerala. Maharashtra was also another choice, in between.
Kerala explored all options to hold the event as otherwise it would have been a great loss to the State.. The event will take place in January.
