Kerala will witness heavy rains in the coming days, says IMD

 
NEW DELHI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a 'sound' alert for Kerala saying it might witness heavy downpour in the coming days, possibly on December 6 and 7." Warning has been issued for Kerala. The low pressure which is prevailing in the Tamil Nadu and will remain in the state for the next 48 hours. After that, it will enter in the interior region and make a trough of pressure in the Arabian Sea. So, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th of December will witness heavy rainfall in Kerala." said IMD Director B P Yadav. The recent Kerala warning came in the wake of heavy rainfall occurred in Chennai along with several other districts of Tamil Nadu which remained marooned, crossing death toll 260 with thousands forced to leave their submerged homes and schools and offices shut.
