Will quit, if I'm proved corrupt: Thushar Vellapally

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: SNDP Yogan vice-president Thushar Vellapally on Saturday found time during his speech at Samathva Munnetta Yatra’s valedictory function at Shankumugham to give reply to Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan’s allegations of corruption against him in connection with Micro Finance scheme.

“I will stop all my organisational activities, if it is proved that I have committed corruption in Micro Finance scheme even for a single rupee, he said and asked, “Will VS end his public life, if the allegations are proved wrong?”

Thushar said both the Left and Right Front had tried to destroy the Samathva Munnetta Yatra by levelling false allegations and the allegation against him was a fallout of this. “The people of Kerala are not fools to swallow whatever the media say. SNDP has grown up without the help of media. In future also it will grow.”

“The party formed by the SNDP is not against the minorities. The party aims at the well-being of the Hindu community but that will not be at the cost of the concessions now enjoyed by minority communities. SNDP’s party will come to power in the next election,” he added.
