SYDNEY: A 30-year-old woman from Kerala died and her three-year-old-child is seriously injured after an alleged suicide at a train station in Sydney’s western suburbs. The incident happened on Wednesday at the Harris Park Railway Station.
The woman has been identified as Archana Kunnath. The seriously injured child Shreya Kunnatha has been admitted at the Westmead Hospital. Archana was a software engineer at the Tata Consultancy Services. Her husband Sujith Vaikkakkara too is also in the same firm. They are natives of Palakkad.
The clippings of the woman jumping before the train were caught on the CCTV. The people standing there took the trapped from beneath the train.
The couple had recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. Though they had posted some pictures in the Facebook, they deleted it later.
New South Wales police are investigating the case and the details have not been obtained yet.
