Yuva Morcha demands K Babu's resignation


KOCHI: The Yuva Morcha in Kerala would organize a march to Puthupalli, the constituency of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy from Thripunithura, the constituency of Excise Minister K Babu, who is facing the allegation in bar scam, demanding ousting the excise minister and resign the corrupted government.

Yuva Morcha state president Adv P Sudheer would lead the anti-corruption march on December 21, 22 and 23, a release said.

Alleging that the government was trying to scuttle case against Babu, the release said adding that the government even did not consider the vigilance court direction that the quick verification report after conducting preliminary investigation should be submitted before the court by January 23, 2016.

The government even failed to appoint an official for quick verification and all these moves by the government was nothing but to scuttle the investigation, it said and alleged that it was to protect the minister, the government asked the High Court that there was no need for a CBI probe in this regard.

The Yuva Morcha would continue the agitation till Babu resigned from his post, it added. Stating that even after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned back after his visit to Kerala, Congress and the CPI (M) were trying to insult the Prime Minister, it said adding that it was Chief Minister Oomman Chandy government insulted the Prime Minister.
