POOVAR: A45-year-old man's body was found in a drain near the Karinkulam Bhadrakali Temple on the Poovar bypass road. The one-day old body of Basheer, a native of Karakkamandapam was found Wednesday morning in the drain at 7 am. His relatives had lodged a man-missing complaint at the Nemom police station last evening. He was dressed in blue pants and green coloured full sleeve shirt.
Though the Kanjiramkulam police reached the spot after informed by the local residents, no hints helping to identify the body was obtained. The body was found in the drain on the busy bypass road.
The body is likely to have abandoned in the drain. No injury marks were found in the body. The body after examined by Kanjiramkkulam police have sought the help of forensic experts for scientific inspection. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of the medical college hospital to conduct a post mortem.
