Jayarajan admitted to Sree Chithra Medical Centre

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Kannur district Secretary P Jayarajan, who has been in remand in connection with Kathiroor murder case, was today admitted to Sree Chithra Medical Centre at Thiruvananthapuram.  

The ambulance carrying Jayarajan reached the hospital at around 8:30 pm. While he was being shifted to Thiruvananhapuram from Kozhikode, he developed chest pain and he was admitted to Ernakulam General Hospital around 12.20 pm. There he was kept in critical care unit of Cardiology department.

After an hour’s observation there, he was sent to Thiruvananthapuram with medications prescribed from the Kozhikode hospital. The ambulance left for Thiruvananthapuram at 1:55 pm

However, the ambulance had met with an accident yesterday night at Thrissur. The bus had hit a culvert near Amala Medical College following which, he was admitted to Amala Medical College.

Meanwhile, CPM has come out alleging conspiracy behind the accident but the driver told media persons that the bus veered off and hit the culvert after both tyres got punctured.
